  2. About the Illustrator Filter

  4. The Illustrator Filter allows Cumulus to catalog files created in the native format of Adobe Illustrator. As this filter does not support all features of Illustrator, the thumbnail and preview of the file may differ from the original view in Illustrator itself.

  6. This Filter can automatically add text from the drawing to the Notes field of the Cumulus record. To do this just open the Filter Setup dialog:

Add Text to the Notes Field: (Default: OFF) If activated this option adds text from the Illustrator drawing to the Notes field of the Cumulus record when cataloging. The text is sorted by size with the largest text at the top of the Notes field. You can limit the number of characters added by entering a maximum size in the field below.

  21. Max. Characters: (Default: 16000) If adding text to the Notes field the filter limits the number of characters to add in order to keep the database smaller. As the text is sorted by size the most important text will be visible. You can enter numbers between 0 and 32000.
